Hello,
and welcome to my little corner of cyberspace. Pour yourself
a cup of coffee and get comfortable while we visit a while.
There are many things in this world that bring me joy – family,
friends, reading a good book, and most of all, spending time
with my Lord. Nobody can travel through this life without
experiencing mountaintops and valleys, and I can certainly
claim my share of both. I have come to realize that the difficult
times—the valleys—probably do more to develop and mold our
character than the good times—the mountaintops. These times
have been pivotal for me, drawing me closer to the God who
loves me and cares for my soul.
As a writer, I've had the privilege of seeing God use many
life experiences to minister to hurting people. When our son,
Jonathan, was diagnosed with cancer in April of 2005, God
walked every step of that journey with us, sometimes carrying
us when we were too overwhelmed and weary to take another
step. When God chose to take Jonathan home to heaven in January
2006, my heart was so shattered, I didn't think God would
be able to find all the pieces of it. But the grieving process
is also a healing process, and God’s love, grace and mercy
have been the mortar to repair the jagged shards of my heart.
Writing stories has been a delight to me since I was very
young. While Christian fiction is my first love, over the
past couple of years, God has led me to record in devotional
form many of the experiences through which He brought us during
our cancer journey. It is the desire of my heart to share
what God did for us, in us, and through us during that time,
with others who are walking where we walked.
Thank you for dropping by. I've enjoyed your company. I hope
you will visit again and again to see where God is taking
us next.
Because of His grace,
~Connie~

Connie
lives in north Georgia with her husband and best friend
of over 30 years, John. She and John are active in a variety
of capacities in their home church. One cantankerous kitty,
misnamed Sweet Pea, allows them to live in her home. (John
calls her Crabby Tabby.) Some of Connie's favorite pastimes
include reading, sewing, and gardening. She is particularly
fond of her roses, hydrangeas, and azaleas. She also enjoys
making quilts to send to the Cancer Treatment Center Of
America. Since Connie will not have the opportunity to
be a grandmother, she is grateful to her two sisters,
Pam and Chris, for sharing their grandchildren with her.
