NEW
MERCY —
a collection of devotionals for cancer patients and their
caregivers
There
is a picture in my home depicting a man and a small boy walking
hand in hand down a dirt road. Ahead of the pair, the road
curves, and looking at the picture one might wonder what lies
around the bend. The man and child in the picture are my husband
and son, and in April of 2005, we learned what was around
the bend for our son.
In 2006,
1.4 million people were newly diagnosed with some form of
cancer. At age 27, our son, Jonathan, was diagnosed with stage
4 lung cancer that had already metastasized to his brain.
Walking through this valley called cancer, we clung to the
hem of Jesus' garment to get through each day. God breathed
His mercy over us in so many, multifaceted ways. He enabled
us to learn a deep and exhaustive meaning of His mercy—it's
fresh and new every morning. NEW MERCY shares many of the
God-led moments we traveled on our cancer journey.
TANGLED CHARADES — romantic suspense
When research scientist, Garrett Sommers, stumbles upon evidence of fraud, his well-planned life is turned upside down. A temporary job as the caretaker of a peach farm in the middle of nowhere provides a place to lay low until the fraud suspects can be apprehended. But if Garrett thinks the disruption to his best-laid career plans is inconvenient, wait until he locks horns with farmer's granddaughter. Both must learn they are not the ones in charge, and trusting God in every circumstance always results in the safest haven.
LEAVE ME NEVER — historical fiction
Tessa Langford is abandoned in a town where she knows no one, and must do whatever is necessary to survive on her own. Gideon Maxwell's dream is to sell the mercantile he inherited and start a horse ranch. Henry Jenkins will stop at nothing to get control of the town, and he's set his sights on Maxwell's Mercantile. When Tessa takes the only job she can find, working for Jenkins, Gideon is torn between wanting to help her break away from Jenkins' clutches and taking the only offer for the store he's gotten—Jenkins' offer.
A
SONG IN THE NIGHT — historical woman's
fiction
Clay McComb, a man on the run, encounters something he's never had—a loving family and a forgiving savior. Clay is attracted to Millie Hodges, eldest daughter of the preacher man who introduced him to Jesus, but their flirtation comes to an abrupt halt when tragedy strikes and Millie is left to care for her two young siblings. Obligations and circumstances create a maze each must navigate in search of God's will for their lives—and their hearts.
MY HAND IN THINE — historical romance
An over-worked doctor in Dakota Territory struggles to provide
adequate care to the people in a sprawling area. Another doctor
is reportedly on the way to help, but when the new doctor
turns out to be a young woman trained in nursing, tempers
and egos clash. God uses everything from a gunshot wound and
an influenza epidemic to a Dakota blizzard to knock down the
obstacles that stand between two hearts.
